Bullying and Harassment from TPE Management
2004 - 2009
Ignorance is bliss! Ignorance is a psychological weapon used in bullying and harassment. It is a behaviour that has a purpose of degrading and belittling an individual, in this case through repeated ignorance over 5 years.
Not only did it violate my rights and dignity but it had an impact on my physical and mental state. Psychological behavior on behalf of TPE management was a negative, unwanted and aggressive approach, leading to stigmatisation and victimisation with the effect of humiliating and undermining myself for carrying out trade union duties and activities.
It is nothing more than psychological violence which is an intentional use of power against an individual. This results in harm both physically and mentally. My stress levels were immense, causing extreme anxiety and. It also caused many problems with my relationship, both matrimonial and family wise.
There was a constant refusal from TPE Management to acknowledge me, this was because I had a thorough understanding of Health & Safety law and TPE management didn`t. The only way they could deal with me was through IGNORANCE.
They also knew full well that if they ignored me enough, there was a real chance of an explosion like the one they manufactured in 2004. I had an outlook on Health & Safety that is a mirror image of TPE`s own glossy principles, especially, “Safety is our number one priority”. Sadly TPE however much they put it in writing could never live up to their philosophy.
What you hated the most was that I would on a regular basis bring this to your attention. TPE failed and still did (2009) in so many areas where Health & Safety was concerned.
Ignorance through repeated behavior of belittling which as seen by others was undermining, combined with a complete lack of management support including not having the right and legal facilities to be able to carry out my duties as Health & Safety representative.
Your bullying was further exasperated by managers openly being critical of me to other members of staff. If you ever feel the need to investigate this claim then just ask any of the drivers. Your managers for that matter openly talked about others in a derogatory attitude, they struggled to comprehend employees who were slightly eccentric or who`s behavioral traits differed from theirs.
You may well point out that I never mentioned this, but your constant psychological abuse obviously worked. But how would I complain about this? Grievance procedure?
You fully admit through other drivers complaints that your grievance procedures have failed.
Take a look at my own world record grievance which was in its 6th year. This grievance is further proof of the level of ignorance I was up against, there are simply no excuses for sorting this out, but let`s remember it is Perry Webb we are talking about.
Also in other Driver's bullying and harassment reports you stated that, “FTPE have failed to apply the harassment policy commitment for dealing with harassment claims”. Your procedures were and still are a complete mess.
