MESSAGE TO THE SHAREHOLDERS OF FIRST GROUP
02:02:14 How does it feel knowing that the CEO Tim O'Toole is a LIAR whose IGNORANCE could cost people's lives?
ADDED-07:01:2018 Nearly 3 years after I wrote the above sadly 7 people lost their lives and numerous were injured. All CEO Tim O'Toole had to do was listen, take notice of my website and act accordingly, instead he displayed the common First Group Trait of IGNORANCE, this is part of the reason people were killed and injured, he could have helped prevent this.
Today, 27th May 2013: I received an email from a lady who had found my website by accident, the lady said, "Dear Mr Webb. I am a large shareholder with First Group, I found your website completely by accident, I was looking through some of the Rail Operating Companies owned by First, as I looked through the Google images of Transpennine Express I came across a document called Ken Marriot - Transpennine Express which then led me to your website. On reading your website I am absolutely astounded that Transpennine Express Managers could act with such a deviant and venomous manner, my heart goes out to your plight. I would strongly suggest that you add an information page to your website aimed specifically at the shareholders as this may help your cause. I will pass the word so to say and hope you reach a satisfactory conclusion". (Email added below).
My message is quite simple: If you are a shareholder then I would request from First Group a copy of the amount of money that has been spent by TransPennine Express in the hiring of solicitors and barristers to dismiss employees since 2004.
I would estimate that since 2004 when TPE took over this franchise that this will run into hundreds of thousands of pounds, all of which was wasted in unnecessary litigation. I would specifically ask for the breakdown in the payments that Ford & Warren Solicitors received from TPE for the services of solicitor Simon Robinson used against myself. This will or should highlight when this solicitor first became involved against me, then ask yourselves, why would they use a solicitor against an employee before his hearing and appeal processes have begun. Why spend this amount of money in dismissing an employee when common courtesy and dialogue was all that was required to stop this expense.
I was simply dismissed, not for the events of the 14th January 2009, but for openly challenging safety issues, I was persecuted and ignored but stuck to my beliefs, their ignorance displayed against me is all over this website with proof, I back up everything I say with evidence, I can hold my head up with dignity and say "all I ever strived for was to make the railway safer". Sadly in trying to make a safer railway it cost me everything.
I think First Group are becoming aware that employee relations within TPE are non existent, I have been informed that First Group have brought in an outside company to investigate why TransPennine Express are the worst performing company for employee relations. This is yet more expense when there is a simple solution. SORT OUT THE BULLIES and STOP THE IGNORANCE.
Details on these bullies and their behaviour is on this website, please read about their past and present antics and ask yourself one question:- Is this how a person in the role of a manager should behave? Why would managers have to blatantly lie, why do they have to rule with intimidation, blatantly ignore rules and procedures, their abuse of power is beyond normal bullying, they are basically a splinter group within a company who ruthlessly crush anyone who gets in their way, THEY ARE OUT OF CONTROL.
Because of their behaviour and attitude, standards drop, this is because there is no morale in the workplace, the only topic of conversation is that of disgust aimed at the immediate management, there is no trust and because of this lack of trust there is no platform for EDUCATION, there is no on-going TRAINING, the job becomes just another job which we simply cannot let happen. This is one of the few professions that cannot become, "just another job", my years of experience told me that, I learned something new nearly every day. Once complacency sets in, you are on a time bomb to disaster, I personally think that very sadly this timer is already ticking.
I have posed and have many more questions still to publish that should be answered on this website, any decent and knowledgeable manager would be able to answer these questions, yet if you are a liar and even if you had the knowledge, I know that not one of you 9 individuals will offer an answer, I wonder why? Because for you individuals, "silence is golden". To me the "silence" is your guilt and because of your guilt is the reason why I will never keep quiet.
