This may be American but believe me we need this in Britain
We have a culture in the UK where every company and every enforcing body screams, "We are safety conscious because we are the best". Lets live in the real world and stop believing this propaganda, glossy pamphlets, pat on the back conferences, jobs for the boys, nothing but brainwashing techniques that sadly work.
Take a look at what "Corporate Manslaughter" actually means if convicted, remembering peoples lives are totally devastated and ruined, because employees and the public believe in the company where they worked or their relatives work, they actually believed they were protected and totally trusted their employer. The only solace they have is the belief that the company will be held accountable if someone is killed, they put their trust in British justice, they just don't realise how wrong they are.
They are wrong because they are not only up against the company concerned but they are up against an "ESTABLISHMENT". Those who are responsible are not held accountable, they receive suspended sentences and the company receives a fine, great British justice! Then what about those "enforcing bodies and organisations" who could have helped prevent the deaths?
Those so called enforcing bodies and organisations fail in their duties because nobody wants to upset the proverbial apple cart. Along with the Unions, Police and Judiciary they become what I call the "ESTABLISHMENT". When you face individuals with OBE and CBE after their names do you really think you have any chance of justice?
If however you are a small company or sole trader you will be jailed because you are not part of the "ESTABLISHMENT", you are classed as a "NOBODY".

When you look at my website and the information I have provided it is the utmost proof that a NOBODY against an ESTABLISHMENT cannot win despite overwhelming evidence to categorically prove that a company the size of First Group totally IGNORED health & safety issues on a scale that is unbelievable to say the least.
The IGNORANCE in my case lasted 6 years, that is 6 years of complaining about numerous safety issues and 6 years of constant IGNORANCE, let me ask anyone reading this, how would you have dealt with this IGNORANCE? Proof of this IGNORANCE comes from Judge Grazin's report in my section titled "Case Management Discussion".
Every time I took my evidence to the HSE, HMRI, they refer me back to First Group stating I must inform the company first! This is because every time I complained First Group told the enforcing body that I had not brought the matters to their attention first! This is the start of the ESTABLISHMENT working together to shut the NOBODY up.
The levels of collusion within First Group Management highlighted in this website is astounding in their efforts to dismiss me. Why do you think they went to these lengths to dismiss me?
The simple answer is that I wouldn't let go, I continually asked serious questions on a daily basis and always challenged everything I thought was an health and safety risk. This is why I became a target, the only way that they could dismiss me was to make up a set of charges, call them gross misconduct and employ a solicitor before my hearing and appeal to try and make their case against me airtight and then commit perjury in an employment tribunal.
First Group at the time and today (2017) continue to tread on very thin ice, quite simply the difference between life and death. In 2010 First Group got their biggest slice of luck ever, the accident in Summit Tunnel that thankfully never claimed any lives. An accident that I predicted would happen, an accident that I told them how to prevent. Yet not only did First Group IGNORE me so did the ESTABLISHMENT because after all I am just a NOBODY, I don't know anything!
I did inform the CEO of First Group about my concerns back in 2012 and 2013 along with numerous enforcing bodies and organisations over the years, I told him and them that if he didn't take control of the IGNORANT trait of his management towards health & safety then somebody would eventually be killed. The response is as you would expect - IGNORANCE.
November 2016, Croydon Tram Accident - Seven people killed and numerous injured all because of the IGNORANCE of First Group and the ESTABLISHMENT. Please believe me when I say that this accident was totally preventable and should never have happened. It only required the most basic risk assessment of this route, something that should have been par for the course, something that even someone with limited health and safety knowledge could carry out and would understand the danger this 12mph speed restriction posed.
This is why I informed the CEO of First Group Tim O'Toole and many other bodies and organisations well before this accident happened that the whole management of First Group needed looking at regarding their attitude and IGNORANCE towards health & safety.

Because up against this ESTABLISHMENT I am considered a NOBODY.
